Welcome to Jasangas Photography - Gus Jasangas has been designing and photographing for
over 24 years. His Multi-faceted talents and skills have led him to succeed in
a wide range of areas, including: public relations/promotional events,
corporate and industrial Identity. He now concentrates his unique sensibilities
on Digital Photography and industrial designs. Jasangas began his career as a
publisher in the Island of Guam, creating Guam's first Entertainment Newspaper
called “Friday News”, documenting and photographing the entertainment
night life of Guam,
he's made advancements in
virtually every field, including billboards designs and T.V.
Commercials. His
portfolio of designs continues to expand regularly. "I see my role as
being one who sees and records and at the same time experiences
important
designs, says Jasangas. There is this saying, Jasangas says, "There are
those who make things happen, those who see things happen, and those
who
wonder what just happened." I'm one who makes things happen. In terms
of
his studio work with the design and photography industry, Jasangas says
that
although he assumes responsibility for creating a certain image for his
clients, he is actually utilizing what exists in the products of his
clients or
listens to what the clients needs are. "I assist the client by creating
an
image that will be remembered by many." In 2008 Jasangas was awarded
the titled of Top 100 Semi-finalist with Hassalblad, as Master Photographer,
competing against 1,750
pro photographers from around the world. "For a change I was in the
right
place, at the right time, and when the waves crossed, it formulated
much of my
graphic design and photography skills from collaborating with excellent
people
in my life. A fortunate blend of publishing and design sensibilities
developed
into a knowledge that he now applies into his photography. Now I can
take a
project from concept, through creation, and then to print, maintaining
a
cohesive point of view." In the area of digital printing, he has also
worked with leading-edge fine art, high resolution digital printers and
Ad
agencies around the world and in the pacific region. Jasangas's work
has been
published in Friday News, Gannett Newspapers, Guam Business News,
Marianas
Business Journal, Marianas Variety Newspaper, and
Pacifica
Magazine, and just recently, was given a site to promote his services
on Martha Stewart. His publishing and public relations assignments have led him to meet
with celebrities such as Mariah Carry, Ricky Martin, Sam Choy, The Jets, Tony
Bennet, former U.S. President Ronald Ragan, and former U.S. President Bill
Clinton. He has collaborated with both design firms and individuals such as
Keiko Kitahara (Designer of Hello Kitty from San Rio, Japan), Will Ignacio of
Sandstone Production, Graphic Center, Myers Capital (Hong Kong) and Dockport
Designs (San Francisco). Currently today, Gus Andrew has advanced in his Photography skills
